In the Movies: Three of My Abstract Paintings

Abstract art by Lynette Melnyk in a movie

Contemporary abstract paintings by Lynette Melnyk used in filming the movie “The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland”.

A little reminder of family and faith are good at this time. I am excited to show my three paintings which were used in the movie “The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland”.

The movie was filmed in Chickamauga, GA, USA. My paintings were used in a building staged to be the main character’s New York loft. The scene was brief but still fun to see my paintings in the movie and in the ‘behind the scenes’ footage. It was also so wonderful of them to include my name in the credits.

Movie summary: Sparks fly between a famous model and a farmer with a young daughter when she visits her childhood home. The town is in danger of losing their beloved Santaland festival, but miracles can happen with a little love, family, and faith. Starring: Jenn Gotzon, Jim E. Chandler, John Schneider and Corbin Bernsen.

Back story: The paintings were placed in the movie through set and interior designer, Cindy Montgomery from New York, who was providing the set design for the movie. My three canvases were rolled and shipped to Reflections Gallery in Chattanooga, TN to be stretched on stretcher bars. Nathan, the owner, delivered the paintings to the set, and as a coincidence his mother lives in Chickamauga where the movie was filmed. I appreciate the opportunity to have my paintings in this movie from Cindy Montgomery and I thank the great service from Nathan and Reflections Gallery.
